Problem
The nail polish market is saturated with standard packaging that lacks personality, memorability, and collectibility, making it difficult for brands to stand out on shelves.
Solution
I created Osito, a nail polish brand designed to feel playful, collectible, and display-worthy through a unique bottle shape and cohesive packaging system.
Process
This concept came from my own experience with doing my nails—my nail polishes often stay out on my table, and I started thinking about how they could feel more decorative instead of just functional. From there, I designed Osito based on the idea of turning nail polish into a design object. Did you know "Osito" means "little bear" in Spanish? That’s what inspired the shape of the nail polish bottles I designed for this project.
I created the bottles in the shape of small bears, making them feel like collectible characters you’d want to display rather than store away.  I extended the concept into a full packaging system, including individual product packaging and a PR box to support the brand experience. The overall design direction focuses on a cute, modern aesthetic that blends beauty with object design, making the products feel like something you’d happily leave out as part of your space.
Why This Is Important
Osito reimagines nail polish as both a beauty product and a decorative object, creating a more emotional and collectible experience for users.
